Intimacy Professional

Novelli is dedicated to empowering artists and creating dynamic stories for stage and screen. They are committed to realizing a show’s creative vision with an emphasis on authenticity, dignity, and compassion. Novelli practices cultural humility and takes an intersectional approach to crafting scenes of intimacy as depictions of mental health.

Novelli is the founder of Cheek to Cheek Intimacy, a company dedicated to providing intimacy professional services, mental health coordination, and decreasing stress in artistic spaces. Credits include Stephen King’s The Stand (assisting Vancouver’s leading intimacy coordinator, P Lynn Johnson), Constance Tsang’s Blue Sun Palace (Cannes French Touch Prize Winner), Noah Millman’s Resentment, Lover Girl by Megan Thee Stallion, Cursed/Too Bad by King Princess, and more.

For stage, Novelli has intimacy directed Erica Schmidt’s The Disappear at Audible’s Minetta Lane Theatre, Josh Rhodes’ Cabaret at Asolo Rep, and more. They have extensive experience intimacy directing projects in every and all stages of development at Brooklyn’s Mercury Store.

As a Mental Health Coordinator, Novelli is certified through The Association of Mental Health Cooridnators and combines this with their work as a certified Resilience Toolkit Facilitator. Their somatic approach specializes in grounding artists as they go. This empowers artists to take bigger creative risks, all while being able to return to themselves at the end of the day. Novelli has led numerous workshops at colleges, residencies, and conferences on artist wellbeing and writes about this subject extensively on their company Blog.
